Integrated Positioning System Software
The Integrated Positioning System (IPS) is a windows-based software package developed specifically for the purpose of integrating a USBL (Ultra Short Baseline) acoustic tracking system with GPS, shipboard heading and roll/pitch sensors.

The IPS software package integrates real-time data from these sensors and displays a complete navigation solution on a Graphical User Interface (GUI) geodetic display. Information is presented in text and/or graphical format as selected by the user.
This system allows for the tracking and navigation of a surface vessel and multiple submerged targets. The position of the submerged targets relative to the surface vessel is determined by an EdgeTech USBL Broadband Acoustic Tracking System (BATS) tracking system. The IPS software delivers a broad array of functionality for customers in every field of ocean exploration worldwide.
With over 25 years of experience and customer focused development, the IPS is still the most economical choice available. The IPS provides undersea tracking solutions for a wide variety of customers including Navies, NOAA, U.S. fisheries, major research institutions and oil and gas companies deploying mobile undersea systems such as towed systems, AUVs, gliders, and ROVs.
