The IPS will display Automatic Identification System Overview (AIS) data when  AIS (!AIVDM string) input is detected as serial or UDP data through an Ethernet packet.

Double click the green triangle shape representing a ship to display the ship’s name, classification, call sign, course and speed, registration number, MMSI, and additional data if available.  

 

 

The user may also set an AIS Closest Point of Approach (CPA). When another vessel's path would breach the radius calculated using the CPA setting the vessel name and MMSI will be displayed in red.

 

The user may also set the time required for a vessel to be removed from the display due to no data updates concerning that vessel.
